The accommodation

With up to 7 double bedrooms spread over 3 buildings, the accommodation is flexible, comfortable and well-equipped. You’ll feel the history and charm in each building with beams, sweeping wooden staircases and thick stone walls, views from every window and the passion and love put into the renovations.
Les Bigonnies Estate = all 7 bedrooms, 5 of them ensuite and an extra family bathroom
House Champagne + separate apartment = 4 bedrooms in total, all ensuite
House Champagne = hire this beautiful house with 3 bedrooms, all ensuite
What we love about Les Bigonnies is that it is totally private – no one else but you will be on the property – and it’s in the middle of stunning Dordogne countryside. Your holiday with friends or family will be enhanced by the space and tranquillity, and you’ll appreciate the love and care that the owners have put into the property. There is heating throughout the houses and Shark fans in all the bedrooms, so the houses are set up for all seasons.
Maison Champagne
Downstairs there is a very large open kitchen with dining and lounge area, which is the hub of the property indoors. The bright kitchen was fitted recently and comes with 2 Siemens ovens, induction hob, 2 microwaves, dishwasher, 2 fridge freezers, ice cube machine, air fryer, toaster, different coffee machines and kettle. There are plenty of wine glasses and Loberon crockery, kept in an island with seating around it, so that the chef can be kept company!

As well as a dining table and chairs, there are 3 sofas and a flat-screen smart TV with streaming apps and English TV channels. From the kitchen you can go to the outdoor terrace, which is perfect for breakfasts; alternatively, you can also go through the hallway, to the main covered terrace with the cooking facilities.
Upstairs from the main reception room you’ll find a first-floor landing off which are 2 double bedrooms, both with king-size beds and en suite bathrooms (one with bath). The blue room also has 2 sofas as it’s a large room.
From the first-floor landing with seating area, you go up to the sage bedroom with a French double bed and an open bathroom around the old brick chimney breast and separate toilet. It’s a charming room with exposed beams and light pouring through the Velux windows.

Maison Fontaine

Maison Fontaine is the second house on the property, slightly set back from Champagne. Downstairs it has a charming sitting room with a stunning stone fireplace, stylish sofas and a smart TV, leading into a fully fitted kitchen.
Included are an oven and induction hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, a lovely dresser filled with crockery and glassware.
In the kitchen is a table and chairs for 6 guests, whilst outside there’s another dining terrace with a table and chairs to sit 14 people under parasols.
Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and lovely double aspect views. One is decorated in a sky-blue and the other a dusky pink. They share a modern bathroom with a shower and a sink, and there is a separate toilet.
Going up the lovely old wooden stairs, you’ll reach the top floor bedroom with a king-size bed, low beams, a Velux window with blackout blind and a quirky, luxury en suite bathroom with both a bath and a shower, sink and toilet.

Studio apartment

Adjacent to the games room is a studio apartment, which is perfect for grandparents or couples who enjoy their own space and privacy. You enter the kitchen area first, with a small sink, coffee machine, and fridge.
A king-size bed and armchair are at the other end of the room, and there is a shower room with sink and toilet. Outside there is a lovely terrace with a table and chairs for two.
